About Me
My name is Ryan Massoud and I am a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from Northeastern University in Boston. I have completed two co-ops over my time at Northeastern and am currently seeking full-time employment as a mechanical engineer in Canada.
I have created this portfolio as a means to highlight some of my work samples and provide information about myself. Please feel free to reach out with any comments or questions.
Bio
I was born in Ottawa, Canada in 2000 and grew up in a small town called Arnprior, Ontario. After playing soccer my whole life, I was lucky enough to be recruited to the Northeastern University Division 1 soccer team where I would ultimately be named team captain in my senior year. Outside of engineering and soccer, my interests include playing golf and spending time by the lake.

Work Experience

Pillar5 Pharma Inc.
Automation Engineering Intern
Arnprior, Ontario
May-August 2022
At Pillar5, my job was to design machines and components to improve factory processes and efficiency. I used SolidWorks to 3-D model my designs, then I would order the necessary parts and send drawings to the maintenance team for machining. Lastly, I would assemble my designs in the shop and implement them into the factory. This job challenged my engineering knowledge and familiarized me with many automation processes.

SWM + Scapa
Process Engineering Intern
Renfrew, Ontario
May-August 2021
At Scapa, my job was to identify imperfections in processes and strategize ways to increase efficiency. I would then work with 2-D and 3-D modelling to bring those ideas to life and eventually implement them in the factory. I gained extremely valuable experience in design, critical thinking and product development.
Boston Water and Sewer Commission
Customer Service Engineer
Boston, MA
January-June 2020
My job at BWSC was my first experience working in the engineering field. I was exposed to the process of engineering and how engineers work on a daily basis. I learned the attention to detail and technical knowledge required to work as an effective engineer.
